They show they can make good headset mics on the blackshark v2 pro not sure why they add worse mic for the krakens

i don't understand the mic? the Blackshark v2 mic exists right? why wouldn't they just put that mic on all the new headsets. Weird.

i suspect the mics bad because they went with a retractable mic which none of the black sharks have, so either their using a completely different mic that's designed to be retractable or they lost quality by making it retractable somehow...

great review...i was tempting but when you were honest about the mic sounds than meh. LOL...i love wireless headset and really want one with great sounding mic. I'm using the razer blackshark v2 pro...but i don't have the 2023 version...so i have a hard time with my mic...alot of ppl complain about it because on different platforms/games/voicechats etc... voice comes out not the greatest...oh well...ty for another awesome video.

I bought an Atlas Air and had so many issues with the Swarm 2 software. Heck I couldn't even change settings because it just constantly said my headset needed updating. I would update it and it would still say it over and over. Constantly crashing when I tried to update after successfully updating the very first time. Couldn't get it to work after 3-4 days. So I sent them back. I was thinking about getting the Audeze Maxwell headset. Do you still like those and use those? Are they just too heavy? These look nice but I don't really trust Razer builds. Seen too many new Razer things breaking and especially with plastic.

Hey Techne, Could we get some more comparisons vs existing similarly priced headsets. For example I have the Blackshark Vs 2023 and I find the bass to be really muddy but the mic and battery are great. I also didn't like the mic mute on the BlackShark's it was very bad.

If you don't care about the mic then it seems like a decent headset. My concern is that the foam in the headband doesn't go all the way to the sides. Someone with a larger head like mine likely would feel that and it would dig into your head. Neat, but I think I'll pass.
