My son is serving currently a 2 year mission and he loves the work so much! I’m just balling my eyes out thinking about how much he loves The Savior and how important it is for his to save lives and feed our Saviors sheep. I just love this talk so much! Thank Eider Holland! Thank you so much for this. Having not had the opportunity to serve myself, this gives me a better understanding of what a missionary experiences, and what they need. I have twin sons, one is serving as a missionary in Texas, and the other is completing the home MTC and soon he will depart to serve as a missionary in Colorado. Both are learning Spanish as each was called to serve his mission as a Spanish speaking missionary.

I heard this talk on the way to my first area on my mission. It has now been 7 years or so since I heard this talk and this is the most influential talk of my mission. I come back to it and hear it again every now and again so I can remember never to go back. That when my heart changed it is meant to be forever. I think sometimes I feel I am going back to some of my own fishing spots and this talk is a reminder to keep going keep doing the Lords will forever.

I only wish the missionaries would have told me that Jesus, according to the LDS doctrine, is a created Jesus. Jesus is an eternal Jesus, Jesus was never created, He has always been, He was not created, He was never created in heaven, this would have been a very good thing to have known.
Jesus loves the Fathers children, he loves all those who love him, even if you are not a missionary.
