I am always amazed when Indian head cents are found coin roll hunting. The 1914 was one of those that makes your heart beat faster hoping for the 14-D. Keep on doggin'!!

That second box was on fire! Can't believe that 2011 DDO isn't in the Cherrypickers guide yet. Maybe someday.

I wish I had a 2011-P Lincoln cent, that would complete my shield cent collection.

Let it be said not to confuse double struck coins with double die coins. Double struck is an error with the manufacturing of the coin striker. Double-struck coins are hit twice by the same coin die during the striking process. If it is not aligned properly during the making of it you will get a coin struck with identical doubling. A doubled die coin is produced when the coin die is not manufactured correctly. This manufacturing error leads to the appearance of two images on a single coin die. The more obvious and distinct the error is, the more the coin will be worth. The double die comes when a coin is not lined up with the entire coin. It would usually only show parts of the date or any lettering doubled or overlapped. There is quite a difference in price of these two varieties and they should not be confused. You can't just say, "oh it's a double die." The 1955 double die penny is one of the most counterfeited coins in China. They have no laws against the counterfeiting of American coins so I am sure there are thousands if not millions of counterfeit double die coins in America.
