This movie is a landmark vision...it's pure poetry, hypnotic in its beauty (i have all the BBC nature programs and this is a step above). I read that every scene was created in consultation with scientists expert in those fields (and it shows). The Pitt narration version is 60 minutes and the Cate Blanchett version is 90 minutes (the version I enjoy watching). Douglas Trumble (Star Wars) assisted Dan Glass (The Matrix trilogy) with special effects. But it fails me why there was no North American blu ray release. Please 4k!

2-the extended version will be narrated by Cate Blanchett

This is the highest form of art. What it means to be alive? What is the driving power? What is the source? Are we connected to it or are we motherless kids of the Nature? The visuals are stunning, the monologue is poetic. I'm pretty sure Terrence Malick had a spiritual awakening sometime and his movies are pure expressions from that experience. Sorry.. I know Brat Pitt is a good actor but not a good narrator. Give me Patrick Stewart or Morgan Freeman, or Neil DeGrasse Tyson. But I do like the premise.

I reeaaally need a great special effect documentary about life during the prehistoric era. all the ones I've seen like walking with dinosaurs are fine but don't have great special effects and I can't really live the moment
