I honestly love that Pierce was able to bring a sense of family and belonging to Gilbert. He really deserved better than their father gave him and it's one of the most heartfelt things they did with Piece.

Comedic and casting genius.
Both actors metaphorically turning into their typecasting skid to brilliant effect.
