it is like interviewing two witnesses, both would be describing the same event. but they will have some details different from each other. One focuses on some aspect that the other did not. or one account just gave general details without going deeper while the other gave more. Or one from a distance and one much nearer

1:23 in english class there was a chapter about Christopher Columbus.And in the chapter there was written about that nearly 500 years before columbus vikings found america.
