Technology has come on a long way since John Barber invented the world’s first gas turbine way back in 1791. Three years later, Thomas Mead refined Barber’s idea and came up with the world’s first gas engine, and in the same year Robert Street introduced the concept of using liquid fuel, creating what we now recognize as the internal combustion engine. The same basic principles are still used in motor vehicles today, but amazing minds all over the world have introduced incredible ways of combining different fuels and mechanical parts to bring us truly wondrous creations. In this video, we’re celebrating the strangest and most incredible engines in history.

A ship with any space propulsion system can accelerate to any speed below the speed of light so long as it has enough fuel to do so. Using one system over another does not place some magical cap to your velocity. The only difference (from a broad view) between different propulsion methods is how much thrust they produce and how fuel efficient they are.
Edit: Also the EM drive concept is not Chinese, it was first proposed by British engineer Roger Shawyer

you do know that train engines are pretty much the exact same as regular diesels right? They still have Cam shafts, push rods, etc, fuel pumps and governors.

okay, first off, shockwave is a semi, so it's larger than a pickup, 2nd off it's not "fiting in the cab" they mounted it on the back.

I don't understand how 5.4 Newtons is anything even considerable for thrust. I haven't looked into the matter, I just hope i'm misunderstanding.

Catch 21 of the Ion engine. Great engine to use in space...absolutely useless in an atmosphere. So you'll never see planes or anything using them.

6.3 Seconds in a 1/4 mile is slow. Promods can do that these days. Top fuel is at 3.6. Shockwave is still cool tho

Background noise and "music" or whatever the hell that is, sucks in a big way. What the hell is wrong with people, to fill the audio track full of sonic diarrhea, like fucking imbeciles.

You’re videos are interesting but I can’t stand how you intermix clips from movies as if they are part of what you are describing. It’s hard to tell if what I’m seeing is part of whatever your subject matter is or a photo or clip from Hollywood. Perhaps if you put a label on the “borrowed” clips to differentiate them from photos of the actual thing you are talking about.
