Nah I don’t like Kelce saying that…. Dude is not playing trash. He’s likely the only guy defenses really game plan around. There’s a reason rice is having a good season. He’s good but Travis helps take pressure off our receivers

Everybody been know'n since Jan '23, TK & Chief's needed to prepare for TK to retire. He's been help'n the team do just that - work'n with Rice, new WR's & TE's, esp Noah Gray. They need the experience & reps more than 12 yr vet, Kekce. Mahomes needs to use others: get comfortable & build confidence with them. Next gen stats show Kelce isn't slower & creating same distance as prev yr. All tape reviewers show Kelce's often open & Pat just hasn't been look'n at him. In part, bc: lack of confidence in LT. He's let'n go of it quicker (2.3 sec/avg.) Teams finally focused on covering Kekce (Don't pretend like the ? hasn't been asked 50x in past.) It takes longer than 2 secs to get open & balls alrdly thrown at that point. A lot of plays being called just aren't ones intended for TK. He's seen more on tape blocking & is doing it well. Also, he had a 40+ yrd catch called back on oline penalty. With that, his yards ae close to last yr. Yes, he's not get'n any younger. Yes, they're try'n to use new & other weapons more. Yes, prob think it's wise to reduce his load & risk of injury he's got yrs & WAY more miles on him than others & they know gonna need & want him healthy come playoffs.
Not playing well is just false & all he's doing to help his team, folks should be thanking him vs. talk'n about him like he's done, lazy &/or washed, smh! Production isn't just yards & TD's.✌️

I think he's pacing himself. He might be on the other side of the hill at this point (and probably is) but I dont think he feels any actual pressure to step it up because whatever he does have in the tank needs to last through the playoffs. The regular season doesnt matter.

Havent we seen this with Gronk they get older and come good in the playoffs ? And Gronk had been through much worse injuries and wear and tear than Kelce
