I’ve been in this MMO space for a while and it’s such a tricky niche bc it’s a huge pain point for most people so it’s easy to fall victim to certain tactics. I think she has a persona that’s likable. She’s southern and kind of welcoming and it definitely helps with her success. Same with the Jamaican lady I think Odetta. At the end of the day, you have to look at what are these people ACTUALLY doing themselves. At this point I’m well aware that most of these channels success come from selling ideas and unfortunately the market for people to sell hopes and dreams is a lot bigger than the ones who actually have what it takes to put in the work!

I love Monique as much as the next black entrepreneurial woman, but we have to be able to admit when we simply like someone's personality and presentation. Her videos tend to be very low value, but high entertainment and it's decently motivational to see someone who looks like me actually winning. What sucks is seeing people hating on you. Your content is typically extremely value packed AND honest. Black women are not glass dolls, we can take scrutiny and criticism.

Now this the one! I work so hard on my faceless YT channel (and will continue to do so) but I find it easier to just be authentic. I was struggling with presenting myself to the world because I do not have a BBL, big boobs and look like a Barbie. But it’s important to remain true to yourself. All of these people who are supposed to be influencers are influence-less. The key word should be “EDIT” because they can make anything believable!
