I love how you call out how money greedy these companies are, I totally agree with you in every aspect. I enjoy the raffles, to support the channel. Even though I’ll never win 😂

First time I ever went to a skate park with an RC, it was my very first hobby grade RC truck. It was the HBX 1/12 2997A brushless 3S. I sent it to the moon and it went at least 20 maybe even 25 feet into the air. Obviously I did not anticipate the thing going that high and also it was my very first time. It landed directly on the roof. The body had a few cracks but I thought for sure it was done for. I flipped it onto it's wheels and it took off with no problem. After that, I decided to leave the flying to the birds and planes.

Interesting. Not sure how it is in the UK, but here in the US Gorgon parts seem pretty normal for 1/10. The slipper assembly is $34, a new chassis is $20, new set of tires (2) is $30. I didn't check any other prices. Personally I don't think Arrma is doing anything devious or different for the Gorgon compared to their other vehicles.

Outcast my favourite but does need a lot out of the box to make it durable

I love my Gorgon. I bought the RTA version (the black one) and it was my first Arrma - everything else i have is Tamiya. I don't know what the prices for spares is like in the UK, but here in Canada, they are pretty cheap in my opinion. For example, the lower skid and bumper mount is $12.99 CAD. The rear lower skid/gearbox mount is $9.99. The fully painted body with decals, bumpers, skid plates and colored coils, is $85.99. You can buy the clear body with the decal sheet for $52.99. I can't see any of the other parts being out of line. Aside from the body, I think it would be pretty tough to break anything on the Gorgon, unless you abuse it beyond reason like some folks.

I've got the Big Rock, MT10 & the previous version of the Maverick.
I'd have to say that the MT10 has been incredibly durable, I've used it often & hard over about a year & I've only broken a driveshaft due to a rock getting jammed in between the shaft & arm that cut its way through.
I've replaced countless differential spurs & crowns on the Big Rock, I've got cheap knock off 4S metal gears in it now & they've lasted well over a year & show no signs of wearing.!
It's also as slack, wobbly & loose as my last GF.! 😉
The Maverick was alright, but kept having lots of niggly little things going wrong with it like loose grub screws & easily worn suspension pillow ball sockets leading to very sloppy handling.
Funnily enough I actually run my MT10 with the Maverick tyres & bodyshell on it.! 😉
I'd definitely recommend the MT10, it really is very VERY good.!!!
Especially if you fit a Surpass KK series 3660/3800kv motor & a Hobbywing WP-SC8 120 amp ESC... Backflips in an instant & wheelies on demand at any speed.!
I would say get the brushed version & fit a cheap brushless system in it.!!
As always Ricky, please stay safe out there mate & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍

I have all of these trucks, except my Granite is the BLX 3s 4x4. Luv em all for different reasons.

Nice job comparing and covering the details of each truck. My first RC was the Granite and it's been a super RC. Parts are easy to come by and much of the parts from a 3s Typhon fit perfectly. The MT10 is lighter and does handle like a dream and is great for big jumps. The Gorgon looks like a good time and great value. Your brushless upgrade made it awesome! Perfect for slow motion filming. The flux looks more practical for on-road bashing. The BigRock did quit well over the uneven surface. All the trucks are nice in there own way. Thanks for sharing this cool footage. 🏆

Wonder if the Gorgon wheels would fit on the Big Rock. Love proper looking monster truck tyres

Just getting back into the hobby. Used to have Revos that were nitro. What would you recommend for a good brushless entry that isn't crazy to fix?

Thank you, has helped me narrow it down a little lol

My son as the Q2 flux great truck but 2x front dog bones have snapped..! One within ten minutes of being out and we go in a woods like your video so skate park abuse doesn’t even come in… the parts are snapping at where they meet the wheels… apart from that a great truck 👍 model sport sell the replacement parts for £18 and you get 2 in pack which is good considering they don’t seem to last long..👍

I like that longer videos and this one is rather long! Great info and great trucks. I'm not sure why but I am going to have to get a quantum flux!

@beyondRC Tell me what your thoughts are but I think it's interesting for bashing to go with an rc that has the telescopic universal transmission shafts. If you have dog bones they wear out so fast on some models, same for the drive cups. If you go for the universals, you don't have that issue.

I have a Team Magic E5 that I am very happy with but I don't usually see many tests of this truck except on German and French YouTube channels.

I find it disturbing that the gorgons wheels are backwards!
These all look great though.
