21700 vs 18650 for Nanolongrange

preview_player
Показать описание
Typically, single cell nanolongrange builds are powered by a 18650 Li-ion battery. However, I tried a 21700 battery which is around 20g heavier. I expected my NanolongrangeV2b to fly worse. However, the first minutes of flight with a 21700 cell the drone felt way more powerful. Only when the voltage came down to around 3.3V the performance decreased significantly. Watch the video to find out which battery lasted longer.

If you used a step up voltage converter, how does the FC know what the actual battery voltage is?

I tried an 18650 with my mobula 8, but, it only spins one motor, and then restarts the AIO... what could be the problem?

hmm 21700 increase is insignificant in time, but weight adds

Seems like if you can get a genuine, or at least as good as genuine VTC6 this is the best choice... Unfortunately I can only find fakes (16 mins max time). Its useable, but frustrating seeing people get over 20 minutes!
