@TDOTEMPIRE Look man, Tecktonik was a concept that later became a brand, which is no longer in place and does not represent the community today. Electro dance evolved out of Hardstyle, and this is something that all the original clubbers always knew, but due to the brand's monopoly and its image in the beginning, people called it the Tecktonik phenomenon. Would you say the Russia should still be called the Soviet Union today, just because they had a different system back in the days?

@TDOTEMPIRE Keep one thing in mind though. Even back in the days, people called it electro dance. For example, you have "Jey-Jey Wantek Dance Electro." The thing about Tecktonik is that they also promoted Hardstyle, Jumpstyle and even Shuffle, but Shuffle is still called shuffle, even if it's promoted by the Tck brand. The only reason it was called Tecktonik is because of the old concept and the dress code (mohawk, skinnies, t-shitrs + the dancing).

@Akuma2unlimited Electro dance was partly inspired by raving, but the basic hand moves really developed during the "Tecktonik period, " which are something unique and makes electro dance different from all the others. And then, you can basically add other dance techniques and cance styles into it.

does anyone else think that it looks better in medium speed? ik the whole point is to move really fast and all but you cant understand any of the dance moves... in medium speed you can comprehend what hes doing... just my opinion

@RussianBoyDAN good point. tbh, i still see certain moves as tecktonik since years ago i came across it and after reading about the origins etc, i called it by its original name. good example with Russia tho.

@JBoyisUNO it's easily mistaken, but tecktonik is easily distinguished by how dancers bend their knees, rock from side to side and bounce.
