The following video shows how we move from BEGINNER to ADVANCED stages of the AM Code player development curriculum.

In SCANNING BEGINNER, the coach introduces the concept of scanning and allows the players to be put in a position where they are forced to make a mistake so they have an opportunity to understand WHY they should be scanning.

In SCANNING INTERMEDIATE, the practice becomes more challenging; skills become second nature, and players are put under pressure to APPLY those skills to a variety of situations.

To achieve success in SCANNING ADVANCED, the players' decision-making process and actions must be more accurate and relevant as they are challenged in a 1V1 situation.

You can find our online player development curriculum on our website if you would like to start teaching these skills to your young players. Coaches receive a weekly session plan, which they can repeat if necessary. Our block-based curriculum offers an 8 month training schedule for each level that includes the fundamental R's, Signature Moves, and Thinking Football themes.
