The course is organized into two sections. In the first section, Rob shows you the five shapes and then demonstrates how to apply those shapes in a musical context.

nice job. Thanks! The "question and answer" really does explain how to approach phrasing. one similar example is slash's sweet child o' mine 1st and 2nd solo where it tends to highlight notes of the chords while adding extra flavors after the familiar notes.
