After playing for a few more days, I think a 7.5/10 is more accurate. Maybe an 8. There are more bugs than I first thought and some annoyingly repetitive cutscenes and sluggish transitions in modes like RTG. But the gameplay is still a blast, and it’s the most important part of the game. If these bugs and slight annoyances are fixed with updates, the 8.5/10 score would be accurate again.

The game is a fun, arcade-leaning college football game with vastly improved presentation compared to Madden. Unlike Madden, this game isn't the exclusive sim game for a league, it's not even advertised as sim, so I'm not going to hold it to a sim standard. Anyone in the sim community "confused" about my review is missing that important point.

if anyone is wondering, they hired a bunch of people from college football revamped for this. Just as it's always been college football/NCAA feels like a passion project while madden feels like a corporation.

This is a great opportunity for a true turning point in sports games. If EA said, "College football will be released every two years, not yearly, " I would be so excited.

“The gameplay is more like the PS3/Xbox 360 era, not the PS4/Xbox One era” This is what sold me. The last Madden and CFB game I played was on the Xbox 360. So hearing that it plays like that era is a big plus for me

Bro this is crazy you guys really trying to give this shii a pass just because nostalgia how you gonna start off saying “it may not be the most realistic but that’s ok" but then crucify madden for lack of realism this shii looks just like a madden with a reskin legitimately and not only that you’re limited and based off the gameplay i seen it looked the same as any other madden they just did it in a slightly different way and ik there is a difference between watching and actually playing but all of you content creators dropping and releasing around the same time trying to convince us the game is good makes it look like you guys got paid off if this is your honest opinion then fair enough 🤷🏿‍♂️but im not seeing what makes this better than madden or prior NCAA games I’ve actually seen a lot of animations that contradicts that statement
