Thanks for this from New Mexico USA. Amazing voice. US Country music has a great contribution from Scots and Irish of the Appalachian region and the south of the US and was mixed with a bit of the blues as it Americans headed west. Native Americans embraced cowboy culture along with the music.

Oh this brings back memories. I remember my aunt had this tapped. She was a big fan. She passed away last December. She had just turn 50 he sang at her funeral in the church. Also in the video the late Jim Fitzgerald can be seen.

What a lovely piece of nostalgia. Those were great times when people were natural and 'themselves'. So nice to see his mother and father and that quiet, gentle and reserved pride they had in Paddy's achievements. I had the privilege of being with Paddy and friends on that trip to Holland for the Euro Gold Star awards. Paddy did a guest spot on a big concert in the INEC, Killarney, last week (August 30, 2022) and got an excellent reception from the appreciative audience. He is a great ambassador for his native county of Waterford as well as for country music. Keep on the sunny side, Paddy!

WOW I live in the usa, but I listen to Irish music. I used to only listen to country, but this new stuff is crap and once I heard Irish music, I was hooked and don't listen to country anymore. This guy is great and sounded like the county I grew up listening to.
I will still be listening just to Irish music because that's where my heart is.
