The fact that the bioengineered label is not attached to the ingredient list is a disgrace. Whatever your objection to a bioengineered ingredient may be, it probably doesn't apply to all bioengineered ingredients. For example, an enriched nutrient is not the same as a sprayed pesticide. By the way, a produce that is entirely wheat should not be labeled "bioengineered" because there isn't any bioengineered wheat except in Argentina.

I have the same disgust for the non-GMO Project labels. They make money by telling the truth in a very misleading way. For example, if you look at brands of olive oil, some of them will contain their little butterfly icon, and others won't. But they are all non-GMO because there are no GMO olives anywhere. Same with wheat, lettuce, lots of things. The other stupid thing about the non-GMO Project icon is that they consider a lot of things GMO that you and I would not consider GMO, like something packaged in a factory that packages other stuff that is GMO.
