Listen everyone in the comments, He was not an Idiot, He already went to IIT that means he cleared one of the toughest Exams of country, in UPSC also He gave first 2 attempts just because everyone were doing and in his 3rd attempt that means real Preparation he cleared Pre, Which establishes the fact that He is a smart person, Don't start comparison with him based on just 2 things 1st You both had prepared for UPSC & 2dn You both may fail.
