Why the iPhone 11 is better than the OnePlus 7T

The OnePlus 7T is a newcomer to the sub $1,000 flagship category. For the price of $599, it's a great deal for those looking for a premium-feeling and reliable Android flagship. However, for the extra $100, the iPhone 11 in my opinion is overall the better phone to buy, here's why.

A couple of things:
The oneplus is 128gb and comes with a fast charger. For iPhone 11 to match you need to spend an extra $50 for storage and another $50 for the fast charger. That brings the total price to $799. It isn’t just “$100 more.”

If your biggest priority is camera then go for iPhone 11. If you want a better display and more “freedom” go for OnePlus.

Honestly I hate these videos b/c it all boils down to user preference.

This dude got used to face unlock so much that he doesn't even know how to place the finger on the fingerprint scanner, this is the 1st time i saw someone complaining about the fingerprint sensor on oneplus 7 series

About a week ago I got an iPhone XS for work, but still have my OnePlus 5 for private use. My OP5 is 2, 5 years old now, so I was considering using the iPhone's dual sim and get rid of the OP5. One week later, I can confidently say that this is not gonna happen, ever. Using both OS's on a daily basis showed me the incredible freedom OxygenOS gives you compared to iOS. Coming from 2, 5 years OxygenOS, setting up my personal preferences on iPhone is just impossible. You are bound to the template Apple wants you to. Apple users around me told me that's what makes the phone convenient and easy to use. I think people are mistaking easy-to-use with limited-to-use? 

Feel free to counter me on this, I will have the iPhone for a year at least, so might as well make the best out of it.. All that's left for me to do is decide whether to go for the OP 7T (or another Android), or stick with my still-going-strong OP5. Anyone else coming from an older OP and also struggling what to do?

The $100 difference between the iPhone 11 and the oneplus 7t is kind of inaccurate, the accurate way is to go by the price of the iPhone 11 128gb version and not the 64gb version, as the oneplus 7t starts at 128gb etc,
so it's actually $150 dollars more expensive and not $100.
Here in the uk the value is even greater for example the iPhone 11 128gb version is £780, the oneplus 7t is only £550! Big price difference ie £230
I am not an apple hater, my last phone actually was the iPhone 8 plus, phone before that was the oneplus 6t, (oh and by the way you mentioned the in screen fingerprint scanner on the oneplus 6t being a couple of years old??? It came out last November 2018!) I sent my iPhone 11 back as I couldn't justify the £780 price tag for what you are getting, 828p resolution, no fast charger in the box? Ugly Notch, yes excellent camera I agree, ios is good, updates good, yes I know all the plus sides, again I am not an apple hater, but I compared it to the oneplus 7t ie for what I need etc, much better display the full HD+ resolution, 90hz refresh rate, warp charging (included in the box!) one of the fastest if not the fastest charging phone available today, I like oxygen os, and I am saving £230, to me for what I need in a phone, I am going for the oneplus 7t instead of the phone 11.

As a Long time Android user from 2008-2018 and after a year with the XS Max I am torn between both platforms. Honestly both great platforms in 2019 and beyond most of it is no longer definitive or obvious advantages, most of it is going to come down to personal preference. Android has Improved A LOT over the last 10 years I would know I've seen it evolved and iOS despite the homescreen being mostly the same has also Evolved and improved a lot. But I will say the performance, polish, and consistency on IOS in day to day usage still feels like its a bit ahead to the point that If I do switch back to Android it would have to be a Pixel or One Plus to make sure I get a similar smooth and cohesive software experience. If I am honest though I think the One Plus 7T is the better buy despite some few missing features.

You didn't mention the 30Watt charger of the7T vs. the 5 watt charger of the iPhone 11. (that's 5x better than the iPhone 11)

And the better network connectivity for the one plus 7T(4x4MiMo) vs iPhone 11's (2x2MiMo)

Hi 9to5Mac. If the iPhone is so superior why the lag when unlocking from 1:31 (and when scrolling)? Animations seems to struggle.
No fast charging, lack of storage, worse display. None listens to music on phone speakers, if you have a 1k phone please buy a headset or sthin :)

You’re clearly trying to make the fingerprint sensor look bad, which is sad. You’re not putting your full thumb on the spot on purpose. I tried mine the way you’re doing it and it still was instantaneous. INSTANTANEOUS! Why are you trying to knock a “newer” company’s impressive technology just to heap more praise onto a brand which has received more accolades than one could even quantify? Apple does not need this praise from you to survive, so why deliberately try to make OnePlus (the underdog in this scenario) look bad. It’s bizarre.

The battery lasts longer because it's a dull low res LCD with lower refresh rate. Stop trying to sway peoples opinion without explaining things fully. iPhone 11 camera is fantastic, but the 7T trumps it in every other department, and that's a fact. Maybe people are willing to trade Value for Apple's operating system, and that's fair. Regardless, this review is absolute bulls**t. Disliked.

May as well title your next video "Why Marquez Brownlee is better than 9to5Mac". Although I suppose that would be a bit of a paradox considering the circumstances of this video.

In the UK the 128gb iPhone 11 is £779, the OnePlus 7T is £549 for the 128 gb. I rest my case....oh and you have a better display, much faster charging, 90hz refresh rate etc etc.
