To be honest, I think I can do that; the pre-moving here is not too hard to understand, given the rook and pawn confine the king into a small box.

For everyone wondering what would happen if the king went the other way... Hikaru moved his king first into position and then the pawn to promote to queen. If the black king had gone the other way then the premove to position his king would have been invalid (king can't get close to king) so the premoves would stop there and the rest of the pawn sequence wouldn't continue. If that happened, Hikaru would simply adapt to the new situation and move differently.
