It's weird they assume people who speak English in Norway don't know Norwegian, because a lot of high school kids and even college kids speak in English to each other, despite both knowing Norwegian. I have noticed groups of college aged adults chatting in English, then speak a full sentence in Norwegian(not broken Norwegian) and then switch back to English. At first I figured maybe one of them doesn't know Norwegian, but I've overheard conversations where every person involved would speak some Norwegian. It's 'trendy' to speak English, I guess.
