I have low expectations for the overall series because live-action almost never works with these kinds of stories, but DANG the sets looks incredible

In a world of CGI for literally everything, it's so refreshing to see them build such massive and elaborate sets. I wouldn't be surprised if they open it up as a theme park once filming is over

To those who are wondering, Mr. Oda is part of the production.
He is the one who selected each actors.
He is the one who provided exact details when it comes to scenes.
So I guess we can expect a good one this time despite previous disappointments

can we just appreciate the attention to detail they are putting into this and actually building a live set and not just all green screen and GCI. I think this will be a good series especially since Oda himself is being a part of it also knowing this is probably the most beloved manga of all time i'm sure they will do a good job.

I'll be moderately keeping my hype in check b/c of how these adaptations will go. But the fact they are willing to go the extra mile and made the actual Baratie ship set (and Arlong's map room), I'm glad they are taking the time and effort to make it right. And seeing Luffy's actor with his energy, I think he might be good casting. Here's to hoping Netflix doesn't screw this up.

At this point I don't even care how bad the show is because I just want to see the set. Please don't break them down when/if the show fails because they're freaking amazing. Hell, if the show ends with season one I want to see a spin off one piece auction show with the set.

Iñaki Godoy had so much energy for the few seconds he was there. This makes me think he was a good choice. I hope the show as a whole is as good.
