Quarterback Troy Aikman was named the MVP of Super Bowl XXVII after tossing four touchdowns in the Dallas Cowboys' 52-17 win over the Buffalo Bills. It was the first Super Bowl victory for the Cowboys since Super Bowl XII after the 1977 season. Aikman threw scoring passes to Michael Irvin (2x), Jay Novacek and Alvin Harper. The Cowboys had a chance to break the Super Bowl scoring record, but a hustling Don Beebe said not this time.
