Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said there had been calls for Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to vacate his post as party president.

Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah added that he would not run for the Umno presidency again if there was party re-election.

Dr Ahmad Zahid has been charged with money laundering, criminal breach of trust and accepting bribes.

In other countries when the leader of a political is charged in court for whatever reasons, they would resign immediately. Here in Malaysia is different, they would cling on to power till the very end. I do not not mention any names in particular.
