Just like the thumbnail says we are getting the interior cage all built and welded together. Then we got to install some new Metalcloak front fenders on Mini-Mater. The guy that said “I have 50 years experience”, never took a course on structural building. Your cables hold that beam. You are correct, your way keeps the beam from flexing side to side. It’s wide. You have cross bracing……., that’s why I watch you build these things and I keep my thoughts to myself. I’m 76, I’m still learning watching you guys!!!

THIS is my favorite part of this channel...shop manufacture time! Rory is an awesome visionary and metal craftsman. Just imagine what he could do if he had a heavy sheet bender and sheer machine to construct body panels. Great vid!

Good video of the Trail Mater Team doing what they do best by welding, bending, fabricating and having a good time bringing Robby's Model A to life. The laughing and joking with these guys makes these videos the best they can be!

That beam works the same way that the large crane beams work. Realistically it doesn't matter which way the beam sits, the tension is down it, not across.
