1979-1983 RM80:
By 1983, the RM60 had become decidedly behind the times.
Basically a 1979 model with BNG, the little Suzuki was a decent beginner
machine, but no racer.

2003 RM60:
In 2003 Suzuki came up with their RM60 again.
Three year´s after Kawasaki quit producing their little rocket the KX60.
But if you take a look at the 2003 RM60 you will recognize, that it is just a 2000 Kawasaki KX60 with yellow plastic´s and suzuki logo´s.
They did the same with the following RM65 wich is a KX65 in yellow, and the RM85 wich is a KX85.

I had the 80's model when I was a kid, my first bike. It was an absolute beast for such a small bike, it took one hell of a beating as well and kept on going.

Got an RM60 for Christmas as a kid in 1980. Loved that thing more than life itself.

I don't know what year I had, but it was the 70's model. That thing wouldn't idle because it was clapped out but what a screamer. Rode it on country roads as a kid and my parents followed me and that little bike would almost pull off 50 miles per hour. Tried to just blow it up before I sold it and couldn't

The reason why suzuki did the whole color swap on the bike is because they were going out of buisness and kawasaki helped suzuki out
