The amount of people that don't understand that literature, and especially poems, contain a lot of symbolism and metaphors is truly concerning. No guys, Beyonce did not literally shove Bible pages up her lady parts. It's symbolic of her struggle with her marriage through religion, and there are a ton of other similar metaphors and symbolism in this poem.

This part is very hard to listen to because it’s true!
