Every single video I learn something amazing and new about puzzle solving! Thank you for your thorough explanations, they help so much for a beginner like me :)

This was great for me! I love working hard puzzles but can now see that my method of placing all possibilities in all open blocks is ridiculously time consuming.

I've been doing sudoku puzzles almost daily for a few years now, and I just realised that my typical approach is mostly reductionist, using snyder pairs. Despite my Germanic approach, I often got stuck. Now I'm learning why. Danke!

I find that sudoku provides an excellent metaphor for many things in my practical, everyday life not to mention it's just a fun way to pass the time.

At 8:45 you put a 1 into row 8 column 5, why couldn't this have gone into row 9 Col 5? Consequently the 7 added at 8:46 could have gone into the Row 8 col 5 space?

I am a beginner but I picked up a little. I will keep watching.

My simple start was to find the numbers that come only from the given numbers, this time the puzzle was almost cracked without pencil marks. I always start this way, often I find a way straight in.

I was a bit disappointed by this "hard" puzzle myself. I also found the triple right at the outset. This puzzle "hard"ly needed any pencil marks at all.
