Great insights, Marcel. China wants to wrap negotiations up on the "Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act" up by June; NIO will almost certainly be specified as a company that the HFCA applies to (and there will be volatility ahead); that the big investment firms are not willing yet to jump in and buy heavily, but that some ETF or hedge funds may; and that the Senate is more rational than the House of Representatives in being willing to give China more time to negotiate without unnecessarily agitating by narrowing the time frame for delisting from time of notification from 3 years to 2 years. As always, you are the best source of info on NIO and Chinese stocks around. Thank you so much. I just keep adding NIO through all this since if it goes to zero, I am still content. But I think investing now will continue to pay handsomely down the road.

So nice to see the big smile! At first I was highly dubious as it is "April Fool's Day", but it would appear to be somewhat valid. The Chinese are really tough regarding any type of negotiation especially when it comes to They will push it to as far as they believe is possible to maximize their position. In this case, the Chinese gov't would risk losing both a lucrative source of capital and the complete confidence of American investors. We have really been hammered over the last year. Inasmuch as this appears to have the backing of the top officials (Vice Premier Liu He, consigliere and classmate of Xi), I would like to believe that this is indeed a concession and will go through. I have been somewhat amazed that the responses at least publicly have recently been so timely. Which is a good indicator of how important this issue is to them.

Great follow up Marcel! Answered a key question for me, maybe the audit reveals who these companies do business with. Hopefully they can come together. It would be ashame if they couldn't since I believe Europe is heavily invested in China and would be awkward if Europe does business but US does not in a sense.

So regardless, it sounds like NIO will still be added to the "non-compliant" list 13:00, which we all know will cause it to tank. Another buy opportunity?

Edit. I tried posting this talking point on the NIO Subreddit to create discussion and it was reported and removed. Everyone responding was calling me an idiot for starting the thread. ZERO of them watched this video. That sub is an echo chamber of "good news only" posts. They completely ignore logic and investment discussion. Sad
