MASADA: The Amazing Fortress You've Never Seen Before

In Southern Israel located on a rocky plateau is the ancient fortress of Masada. Masada is famously known as the location for the last stand by Sicarii rebels during the first Jewish–Roman War in 74 CE. The fortress was so well protected that the Romans built multiple campsites at the base of the plateau where they stayed for up to 7 seven months. To reach the top the Romans built a 375 foot tall ramp made of rock and dirt which you can still see today.
