Chromebooks have come so far since this video. There are premium Chromebooks, gaming Chromebooks, Chrome OS tablets, etc. Chrome OS itself has also come a long way, and I can actually use Microsoft 360 (Office). I have a Windows laptop that I use for work, because my company requires a system with windows, so I picked up a cheap Lenovo 14 Chromebook for personal use and media consumption and I almost prefer using this than I did my original PC. There are many apps for people that want to do things like video and photo editing, and there are many options for gaming, like Xbox Game Pass. I even do a bit of music production with FL Studio Mobile. Chromebooks aren't as limited as they were in the past, although I still wouldn't recommend them for very heavy lifting tasks. If you need certain programs for certain reasons, and they only run on Mac or Windows, definitely don't get a Chromebook. But, if you want a casual machine, or you are a student or your work doesn't demand anything google apps or Microsoft 360 can't handle, Chromebooks are fast, secure, and excellent options for computing.

True. But you guys could have added 2 important things here
1. That all the office suite is available online as browser based editor for free. So those who just need minimal writing, editing, presentation etc can easily get job done with it.

2. Cloud gaming. Nvidia and Stadia are launching browser based cloud gaming solutions which will be enough for a casual gamer, provided they have a good enough internet connectivity.

@GamingScan here's an idea for a video and a problem I've been having difficulty understanding

I recently played cyberpunk 2077 and having problems playing it because I'm crashing so much .. researching why I heard the term "AVX" for the CPU and that my CPU cant handle the setting .. then I read about "AVX" more and got confused that there's "AVX2" also so I don't get it and can help but feel overwhelmed.

I hope you can help me understand more about what "AVX" is and what it does and what are the different types of "AVX" and how to know if a certain CPU can run the setting or not .. thanks and hope this gets to you

they still make netbooks. mines from 2019. they are actually worse than they used to be. my old one with Windows 7 you could upgrade the ram and harddrive.

Netbooks are cheap, honestly low quality, low powered, cute, very small, laptops popular from around 2007-2012. They still make laptops like that, but not very cute, and normal sized. Chromebooks are notciably bigger. Netbooks are VERY small and chromebooks just pass the cute ultra small line. They still make 7-10inch laptops but they are pretty much all high end, with pretty good performance.
