Taking Delivery of My Formula 1 Car Christmas Present! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 42

Happy New Year! Join behind the scenes for delivery of the Formula 1 car Christmas present at @TheShmuseum and working out how to make everything happen. NEWS: We're wrong, the car is not what we thought, full update on the @Shmee150 channel tomorrow!

Prior to the arrival of the trailer, this has all come together from just 2 pictures and some info about an Arrows A18 ex-Damon Hill car. However, without really knowing what it would be, how we could unload it, and what would work or not we've got a lot to figure as we go.

In theory, the present in question is a 1997 Arrows A18 that was driven that F1 season by at-the-time World Championship title holder Damon Hill. After their demise, the remains of the Arrows team were later taken over by Minardi, whose cars wore Michelins and during 2001 to 2006 when Michelin were involved in the sport it was used for promotional activities hence the livery. While it's a rolling chassis and sadly doesn't come with the V10 engine it would have run at the time, to know that Hill has piloted it and what it represents is beyond special.

However, crucially, it turns out that's not correct but we did not realise at the time! Stay tuned for the full, and very exciting details that will follow.

Great video. This was actually the better of the two videos regarding the addition of the F1 car to the garage. Very cool. I think I would be sitting in it and fawning over it all afternoon.
Everyone who comes to visit the garage are going to want to sit in that car more than the rest.

Whether it started life as a show car or was transformed to one it is still a cool addition to the garage. It is not practical to think of driving it. But it is cool a cool addition whether it is on the ground or the wall.

It would be an insane project to make it functional again.. A huge content creator for the channel..
Originally it had a Yamaha v10, but you could fit a jud in there.. There is a company that convert old F1 car to run with smaller engines and simplified mechanical parts..F1 experience they called i believe.

Reminded me of Rob Dahm's Indy car, he managed to get a Cosworth V8 that was used on Indy at the time.

Man Tim good to see u come this far from owning ur first supercar that is audi R8 convertible to now having a F1 car alongside other race inspired hypercars this is the best thing ever but would be even amazing and heavenly if it has a Judd v10 and a racing transmission in it anyway that's my opinion god bless you in success and health ❤️
