In April 2017, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Bioengineering Department awarded its first McGinnis Fellowship, which was made possible by the generosity of Illinois alumnus Jerry McGinnis. Sixian You, who is conducting breast cancer imaging research, received the award.
