It obviously takes a lot of planning and forethought to plant these little story seeds so far ahead of time, it always impresses me when the chapter title lines up so nicely. Great point about the first person point of view Death Rattles seeming to be especially important ones, by the way.

While everyone says the first quote is with kaladin and moash, I think its predicting a future where Dalinar is serving Odium (Odium the one who killed his promises) and fighting Kaladin, he will raise his hand and the storm father will respond. I like this idea alot for a real book 5 prediction.

I got a little shiver when you started talking about Kaladin's Ideal Moment from RoW and that that was a scene Brando Sando has been keeping in his back pocket for 2 decades just waiting for the perfect moment to put that to page. Really gives more weight to the death rattles for me.

Your almost throwaway line about "whatever Kaladin becomes" struck a chord with me... Is all the suffering he has been put through "training" him to withstand the sort of suffering that a new Herald might need, in order to renew the Oathpact?

i think the "i stand against the one who saved my life. I protect the one that killed my promises. I raise my hand. The storm responses" can be a deathrattle about Dalinar protecting odium, acting against humanity and maybe still being able to use his powers from the stormfather, or can be the stormfather "responding" to his acts. we should search for some "chapter title" conections there.

Great video! 9:18 it’s me every time I read Part 5 of a Stormlight book. It would be great if you could keep the death rattle on frame (maybe in a corner) as you discuss it. I think it’s better to keep reading it as you talk about it.

Don’t remind me of kaladin jumping down into the storm to commit suicide and meeting tien. 😢 😭 still haven’t gotten over that.

As I was watching, there is a little part of me thinking that it almost seems like it's pointing to Kaladin taking up the shard of Honor. Then I started thinking about Harmony and the thought of him picking up Cultivation as well. Then I had the crazy thought of what if he ends up taking the shards of Honor AND Odium.

The last one is interesting. Up to now the destructive force has been water and wind via storms. If this is the end of Book 5, then it is introduction of fire as a new destructive force. Sounds right. Would that pave the way for future destructive forces in Books 6+ for earth as a destructive force through earthquakes (or Roshar-quakes)? Very interesting.

For the last dethrattle you talked about i think it's referring to the time after the everstorm and fused return and before the end of RoW. The fused were stuck on braize which I think the "burn like we did" could be referring to. Especially if this deathrattle was in WoK or WoR then it would be perfect foreshadowing!
