I worked at the Cornelius Vanderbilt estate The Breakers in Newport Rhode Island. It is a architectural wonder. It is a 75 room Italian Renaissance villa that was used only six weeks out of the year during the summer and was always referred to as a Cottage. I met The Countess who lived on the third floor and she was such a gracious woman. I believe she was Anderson Cooper's cousin or aunt. I know that The Countess had grown up in The Breakers. Working in that magnificent Villa is a job that I truly enjoyed it and look back on with fond memories.

Why hate Anderson? He didn't control who his mother is (which, by the way, is his best friend). He's actually a very polite, funny guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in NYC a few years back & he's a really nice guy. By the way-his dad was dirt poor growing up in Mississippi. Anderson is very humble and far from rude or arrogant. Furthermore, his mothers money isn't going to him. He has his own money.

Anyone else thrilled Anderson is a father? I never cry.... Must have been dust the night he announced it after TWO HOURS of coronavirus discussions with Dr. Gupta. What a happy shock!

YES! The show should have a segment on Anderson visiting his family's summer home. That would be so great!

Anderson shouldn't have to explain himself to anyone. He knows that the family money is gone, and lucky for us, he graces us with a combination of being real and goofy at the same time.

My great grandfather, a Swedish immigrant, was the "watchman" for The Breakers for 30+ years. When the Vanderbilts weren't there (which was often), great grandfather would take his sons over to play pool, according to family legend.

It is very unfortunate that this woman was being incredibly rude to him, kept interrupting and basically shaming him for his family history and wealth that wasn’t just given to him. He built his own brand, reputation and successful career and deserves the 3 shows.. he is a very humble, respected and kind man who didn’t deserve this kind of negativity directed at him.

The Co-Host Judy Gold was horrible. She kept over-talking Cooper. He couldn't get a word in. She was asking him to help her get a show but she's not even capable of conducting a decent interview and allowing the interviewee to speak.

Does that woman actually know what a normal volume of speech is? Is this her "I am being a comic voice"?
