Really like the implication that LIAM is the person he cares for the most, but he doesn't follow him. When someone doesn't have a person worth following to the afterlife, there is no one there (Liam and Julien). Airy, according to the universe itself, WANTED to follow Liam. But he didn't. Perhaps because, looking back, Airy realized maybe Liam doesn't want him. So he waits some more. That's why they call it The Waiting Room, I suppose.
