1. Munchkin Cat
These adorable animals were named after the magical townspeople in The Wizard of Oz. A munchkin’s tiny size is due to a gene mutation that makes their legs shorter than other cats. Short-legged cats have been documented a number of times around the world since the 1940s. In 1983, Sandra Hochenedel, a music teacher in Rayville, Louisiana, found two pregnant cats who had been chased under a truck by a dog. She kept one of the cats and named her Blackberry and half of her kittens were born short-legged. It is from Blackberry and Toulouse's litter that today's Munchkin breed is descended. Male Munchkins typically weigh between 6 and 9 pounds (3–4 kg) and are usually larger than female Munchkins, at between 4 and 8 pounds (2–3.6 kg).
2. Kinkalow
Talk about pure cuteness! With their curled ears, short legs and fluffy fur, kinkalows look like they belong in a Disney movie. But before adding one to you family, make sure you will be home a lot, because these animals require a lot of attention. The breed was outcrossed by U.S. breeder, Terri Harris in the mid-1990s. She successfully created this new breed that has both short legs and curled ears. Kinkalows are small-sized cats with an average height of seven to eight inches. 3. Singapura
Weighing of 4-8 pounds, these cute animals are one of the smallest cat breeds in the world. The Singapura is about half the size of normal-sized cats. Too cute! Genettas are energetic, playful, and affectionate kitties. They enjoy being active and will even play fetch. Because they are friendly like that.
5. Dwelf Cat
This tiny cat’s unique appearance comes from them being a combination of three breeds: munchkins, which is where it gets its short legs, sphynx, which is why they are hairless and the American curl, which gives them their distinctive curled ears. There is quite a bit of controversy that surrounds their breeding, with some experts claiming it is unethical to mix these cats. They could develop skeletal problems, so choosing the right breeder is important to ensure your pet will be as healthy as possible.
6. American Curl
These teacup cats have very affectionate and playful personalities. One thing that makes American curls stand out from other cats is their ear shape that curls back. This funny cat is a medium-sized 5–10 pound sweetness, and does not reach maturity until the age of 2–3 years. Females weigh between 5–8 pounds, while the boys pack 7–10. Both longhaired and shorthaired American Curls have soft, silky coats which lie flat against their bodies. They require little grooming and enjoy spending time with their human partners.

7. Lambkin
If you haven’t heard of lambkins, it’s probably because they are considered to be one of the rarest small cat breeds. They got their name because their fur resembles sheep wool. It is believed that this breed was created in 1987 or 1991 by Terri Harris. Her goal was to create a new cat that would be short but would also feature the unique coat of the Selkirk Rex. These sweet, docile, gentle, calm, and easygoing kitties are known for being affectionate and loving as well.

I’m about to‘rescue’ a miniature size cat. She looks just like a Maine Coon but fits in the palm of my hand at 15 months old. I know I’m in for many vet bills….but she has won my heart and needs much more attention and love then the people who have her are able to give her.

Jackson….I’ll take any advice you can offer me. She was not breed to be tiny - she was the runt of the litter and rejected by her mother. These people found her in an engine block trying to stay warm at 5 weeks old and brought her back to health. Unfortunately, they were unable to continue to give her all the love and attention she wanted and needed and she is starving for it.

I think I’ve done all I can to get ready for her. But I’ll take any advice you have.
