I don't frequent Menards anymore but my oldest daughter and her hubby do and they tell me the same sort of nonsense.

My granddaughter had difficulty making the "m" sound when she was little. . .it would come out as a "b" and she used to say Benards so that's what we all call it now lol. Also those damn Bosquitos are annoying too. 😅

The computer has a page where the employee can type in the SKU number that says right where the product is and the Menards app has the buildings layout where if the SKU is entered there is a pin that shows right where the product is. The problem is that management is too lazy to teach their workers that so all of us are screwed.

I totally agree and avoid Menards for lumber and stuff now. Too bad. I needed two 2x3 boards - It took me an hour to get them to my car, from not finding them inside next to the 2x2s, standing in line at the desk in the farthest possible place from the parking lot, driving through the check gate and getting to the right shed (???), walking around trying to find the right place, loading it, checking back out of the gate. For two boards. No thanks. Hello Homedepot.

The system we use does tell us wether it’s in the building by aisle number, or if it’s in the warehouse by rack number. The employee who attempted to help you obviously didn’t know or is too lazy to look to make sure.

I hate Menards. When they had the counter up front it was tolerable but having to go all the way to the back, then all the way up front then drive all the way around the back and be treated like a thief really ticks me

I will never shop there again. During the pandemic I did not have my mask on properly and a over 6ft male manager used a puffed up chest and screaming as he looming over me using every aggressive body language threat besides punching the air or his hand 6 inches from my face. Ps I'm a 5ft 6" little old.lady.

Menard's wood is warped...lol.
Over the years, I've spent thousands of $$$ on home improvement projects for a previous home. I only go there now if Lowe's doesn't have what I need.
That drive around back thing is annoying. And that rebate crap on everything is also annoying.

It just sounds like someone unfamiliar with the product, assuming that it is stocked outside. Which is only lumber, block, and insulation. At least where I am.

Menards is trash. Used to be my favorite store as a kid but now I only go there if all other options fail. Look online about John Menard and how he runs his companies and treats his employees. I won’t support people who operate like that.
