I just did this on my 2015 535xi. Had 76k miles. I used the ZF fluid kit however. Used about 4.3 - 4.5 liters of fluid. Car shifted smoothly before, but is noticably smoother afterwards. A great maintenance move. Thats said, many errors in the process done here. Key is fills. Ensure the car is LEVEL, the first fill is with car off and fill until it overflows. Then close the fill plug. Turn on the car. While in Park rev the car to 2k rpm and hold for 30 seconds. This fills the Torque converter. Then with foot on brake, put the transmission through its gears. Reverse, Neutral, Drive. Hold each gear for 10 seconds. Then push the gear selecter to the Left and into MANUAL mode. Do the same here. The car will only let you hold 1 thru 3 in this mode, but by moving quickly you can hit each gear up to 8. With that done, switch out of manual mode and back to Park. Next part is KEY. The second fill is done with THE CAR RUNNING while the transmission oil is at a temperature range of 40 through 50 degrees Centigrade. You will need a scan tool or app with the functionality to read the temperature. Indeed it would have been good to have been monitoring the temperature when the process of working through the gears was started. Once the transmission temperature hits 40 degrees C, Open the fill plug and fill until the fluid overflows. Wait until the overflow slows to dribble then insert and tighten down the drain plug. You are done. Wipe off all surfaces and check for leaks. Good luck!!!!

Yeah i swapped out my 180k f10 535i transmission with a 80k one and it’s been recently been clunking when I am in bumper-to-bumper traffic 1st to 2nd gear I am 100% sure I need to change the transmission oil, but I am kind of skeptical about it. I might take it to a shop
