I love that Raven called out the fact that yelling in anger as a manager is toxic. I'm a manager at a very busy, fast food restaurant and we do not yell at our employees in anger or to reprimand them. We need to yell occasionally to be heard in the middle of a busy rush, but we don't yell in anger

I hope Raven coming forward empowers more people to come forward.

It's incredibly creepy that they don't want the parents to be on set. Even literal babies. They said the Olsen twins cried too much when their mom was on set. I'm pretty annoyed that Chris wanted to speak on something he hadn't seen. Raven did a great job though

Raven is right- and what's even more sad, is that she's been telling us for a long time and no one was listening and passed her off as unhinged because in the past she's made some not so savory tone deaf remarks... But I dont wholly blame her for it either; look at what she went through. Right now, she's trying her best to protect the children, women and men alike in the industry by exposing it for what it really is.
I applaud Raven for not giving up and giving in. She's a remarkable and strong woman.

It's very sad that Drake Bell could've been spared since his dad was very much the "If you touch my kid, you're dead" kind of parent but his mom was unfortunately the "I want my child to be a star" kind of parent and didn't believe any of his dad's concerns about Drake being alone with Brian Peck all the time

Every time this subject comes up I keep on being mesmerized that nothing apparently happened in the harry potter set, not only that, but they're always talking about how little hours they could act BC they were always doing homework. I mean good for England

Yeah but what you’re missing about drakes case is, as soon as his dad wasn’t there to protect him is when they got him. As soon as he had a more neglectful parent in place he was harmed.

We need to talk about the gaslighting of children in hollywood and how that effects them as they age.

3:56 I think children that “star” on social media on the so called family channels should be protected as well.

I really like the fact that for Raven coming forth about this, is that she’s trying to brainstorm what we can do to make changes to entertainment industries instead of just gossiping about what we already know and what has come forth. I’m going to be 27 this summer, I remember watching That’s so Raven way more than I watched shows on Nickelodeon. I do remember loving Zoey 101 in 4th grade ish and I was about 4-5gears old watching the Amanda show. I always remembered how weird Nick was getting with the shows being produced, hence I chose to watch Disney more. I loved iCarly, YouTube was something everyone dreamed of getting popular on at the time.. but I remember how uncomfortable I felt sometimes when watching iCarly. Anyways. I like how Raven is brainstorming protection laws for children in entertainment industry and really pushing for the message that if this is the route families take, to always have the parents present. I really hope to see her really pursue bringing this to light and even in court to create a law to protect children. I think it would be awesome to begin having mandated reporters on sets, somehow incorporate that on set or even a family advocate for people to go to and make complaints or parents advocating for their children. Idk it’s all complex, but I feel like with all the child stars whom are adults could come together to make these laws possible and set in place would be awesome. Yooo especially with things going on with honey boo boo and her money situation. Those kinda of protections and laws too for the child.

I feel like Alyson stoner single handedly started this convo and she should be mentioned more today ❤

Nah I don’t buy it. If there’s c*m shot jokes, foot fetish scenes, or innuendos being made while a parent is on set, that parent is to blame. You’re telling me you didn’t pull your child out of harms way because you feared them losing their role? At that point? You put your child’s stardom before their safety and you’re a bad parent

Can I just say that Raven has NOT aged at all! Iconic!

I used to want to be a set teacher for this exact reason. Sometimes they really are the kids ONLY advocate on set when their parents are so blinded by the glitz and glamor. The most powerful person on most sets are the producers & director. The most powerful person on set of ANYTHING involving kids is the set teacher.

Coogan laws don’t require the parent to set aside all of the kids earnings. Unless it’s changed recently, they’re only required to set aside 15%. Personally I think it should be the other way around, that parents should have to set aside everyone and keep 15% for themselves. That percentage is a very generous manager fee.

Is no one aware of Chris and Kyle Massey’s own history of domestic abuse and child endangerment? Or the fact that their mother supports Dan?

That whole zoey 101 cast needs to address the unfair treatment of Alexa. Until they step forward and speak on it i sincerely hope they hit a decline in views, gigs, and paychecks. They SHOULD be held accountable for their assistance in the toxicity of that set.

When Drake was staying with his mom, that’s when he was SA’d because she didn’t care. His pr3dator would pick him up because mom “didn’t feel like driving him there”

Every child actor should have mandatory therapy……
