Yakima LockNLoad Platform Installation

Today Beau is installing Yakima's new LockNLoad Platform on our 2016 Lexus GX 460. We're still learning how to use our video equipment, so we apologize for the wind noise and how dark some of the segments are.

With this on the factory cross bars, do you have problems with sagging under load? Any damage to your roof?

What kind of landing pad did you have to use for the towers? Also, did you have to remove the factory rails?

Question, how wide are the slats? Trying to figure out if i can mount a roof top box on the platform. I use one on my GX when going camping with the family. It would be a deal breaker for me if I can’t mount one on the platform anymore. Thanks!
