Fran, you're very lucky to have subscribers that are willing and able to contribute. I can't imagine the hell that everyday people go through trying to get healthcare coverage from their state/federal government. I thought we elected people to help us help ourselves but that just doesn't seem to be the case for a certain party. Why do people elect people who turn around and deny them even basic healthcare let alone reproductive healthcare.

Taking care of your health shouldn't be so much of a burden that it not only leaves little income left to live, but just finding health insurance takes so much time away from actually working to earn a living.

I've heard so many horror stories about people who received a huge bill for something that wasn't covered by their insurance, and they've had to spend hours on the phone, only to finally find someone who tells them the bill was a mistake and cuts it down to a fraction of the cost (although still pretty outrageous from the perspective of someone who hasn't paid for a doctor's visit in decades).

hi fran! i wish i could help contribute some money. the only thing i could contribute would be a green card marriage to a canadian woman (me, lol. i would never want to get married unless it was to help someone), but i’m sure you want to stay where your home is.

canadian single payer healthcare is getting gutted right now by my province’s conservative party. it’s very sad to see, and worries me greatly. im not covered to get the HPV vaccine bc it wasnt readily available to me before i turned 25, and i can’t afford the $400+ it would cost me to get it.

wishing you the best for 2023, fran, and if you ever have a peach fuzz and a cream puff to sell, i would love to buy them someday.
