Big myth about electric vehicles: switching to electric will solve all our problems

No. We cannot keep relying on cars for every single person on this planet. The vast majority of people could live in walkable neighborhoods with bike paths and public transit. But instead we build highways and huge roads and parking lots which push all our buildings far apart

I think this is a really awesome video, and I am glad that more people are learning about EVs. However, I think that we should be focusing on improving public transportation and making cities more pedestrian-friendly so that the demand for personal vehicles is less.

Would love to use an electric car in the future but the current infrastructure in my country just isn't ready for it, charging ports aren't available everywhere and is very limited.

We need the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV that is manufactured in China and sold in China and other markets in the USA right now. The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV only costs $5, 000 US dollars, and its not that great of a car, but Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, still gets 250 miles per gallon electric, or 8.1 KWH per 100 kilometers.

Totally want everyone driving EVs. But this is misleading. The insurance for an EV is much higher and more than makes up for the fuel and maintenence costs. Especially since modern ICE cars are also getting more and more reliable

There is 1 top issue I have with EV that really does need to be resolved: Gas vehicles can be filled up in minutes, EV'S cannot😱.

The problem is use. I use and abuse a truck. It's my work daddy. The roads it goes on are not forgiving to work, either. None of these electric trucks are 4WD, which is what I need. As for everyday going out and about, I don't need a vehicle, period. I live two streets over from the restaurants and 4 streets over from the grocery store. So why switch and waste resources for a much more expensive vehicle that can't do what I need it to do?

So, if this all goes well, gas cars will be gone, but the production of the batteries that these cars need will make up for that pollution and we'll be back where we started, but with electric cars.
