VW Golf R32 Mk5 TRD Supercharged Stage 2

Mk5 R32 with stage 2 supercharger kit from Turner Race Developments, producing 330BHP at the wheels. Standard engine internals, factory head gasket, retained AC, fitted with chargecooler maintaining a stable 36degrees celcius @ 0.8bar boost during testing. Its now been 18000 miles and no problems with the supercharger install. Charge cooler does the job. No excessive heat as Dan has already said.

@ANDROSTENEDIOL Thanks for the comments. Unlike others, the RSC charger we use is so efficient, that the only heat generated is just by the compessed air and not by the charger itself. Because its mounted above the gearbox and not near exhaust or engine block, there is no heatsoak, you can still hold the charger housing even on the dyno as it is so cool, therefore no need for seperate oil cooler/pump etc. Also the charger has its own internal oil tank and does not share hot engine oil

Isn't it risky not to use lower compression head gasket ?
