On a completely unrelated subject, it would be nice if an unmuted person with their hand up was pinned to the participant list until their hand was lowered. Numerous times I'll go to mute someone and a participant higher on the list lowers their hand and I end up muting the cohost/speaker.
Brings up a 2nd question: Why are unmuted hosts/cohosts mixed in with raised hands? It would make more sense if they "rose to the top" of the list.

A week ago I still had the option to mute and unmute any participant by myself (as a host). But now I just have the option to "ask to unmute". But I have an Elderly group and they prefere me to mute and unmute them by myself. Anyone knows why I cant do this anymore?
If Zoom remove this function, it was a bad decision. We should choose this or that.

Breakout rooms:
For use at religious gatherings, weddings, funerals or other large social gatherings.
Situation:
In large social gatherings there can be over a hundred voices competing to be heard. Private conversations are impossible.
Target:
Ability for participants to break away from huge meetings to smaller groups in a breakout room of their choice for actual conversations for short periods of time
Proposal:
Add ability for participants to enter an unoccupied breakout room (Auntie Em, meet me in breakout room 4) and/or request entry into a breakout room. A host or cohost can enter at will.
If someone is in a breakout room, the room would be displayed on their screen icon in the main room. so other participants could find them.

I like to use my iPad to share screen - but it is a procedure trying to scroll down the mirroring command - so you have this breathless pause while you battle to get the thing to appear! Then you get a blurred vision - OK on meeting, blurred on iPad but the go button is under the blur! There has to be an easier way! what Am I doing wrong

I understand the reason for the permission to unmute but if someone has their hand up they want to be heard then the host/cohost should be able to unmute them. It should be a simple IF/THEN statement = IF hand is raised/THEN Host/cohost can unmute

Waiting room chime and enter/leave meeting chimes should be independently controlled.
As a host/cohost it is nice to get an audible alert that someone is in the waiting room but having a chime interrupt the meeting every time someone enters or leaves is annoying and distracting.
