How to ERASE in Canva — The Complete Guide

In this video, we will take a closer look at how to erase (parts) of objects/photos/graphics etc. in Canva.

In fact, erasing things in Canva is not an easy feat as you can't just simply use an eraser tool such as you could in software such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. There are actually a lot of limitations as far as erasing goes in Canva.

In Canva FREE for example, erasing as you know it from Photoshop or Illustrator can't be done at all.
As a Canva PRO member, you can indeed erase certain parts of images and photos but only if you used the Background Remover Tool before (The BG Remover tool is a Canva PRO only feature.

and what about erasing part of the image if the image is uploaded from other site - in this case "Creative Fabrica"

okay but how do I erase with an image on top on another and still seeing both images while erasing?

And as of a couple of days ago, erasing has become even harder in CANVA. Now you can only erase entire objects and only if you do NOT use the background removal tool. They have modified it to make it do less than ever. :(

Thank you for this information. I was wondering what other application you can suggest that is free and is nice for editing product photos, please? My product photos are always on a white background.

All you have to do is save the element as an image and then upload it back into canva. And you should be able to edit/erase etc.

I'm currently working on a biology project and I need to make a poster so I just what I want to erase out of the actual poster so it's invisible. +It actually automatically deletes itself lol
