This brings back memories of my junior high's student government elections. My friend was running for vice president and gave a rousing speech on election day, but at the end when he said something along the lines of "That's why I'll be the best vice president for you", his voice cracked on the VERY LAST WORD, and the entire room of 7th and 8th graders immediately broke out in a roar of laughter. He won in a landslide victory that day.

I have watched this numerous times and I think that I understand links tears.

His voice cracking is further proof that he was never a Kokori, and that he was always an outsider. While his friends and fellow neighbors will remain young and attached to the forest forever, he will grow and change and move on else they watch him grow old before him. It means that while he lived amongst them he was never really the same as them and many probably caught the hint, the first sign him being fairyless. The devastation on links face makes it all the more heart wrenching.

Or its embarrassment and I'm thinking too deeply into it as I usually do. 🙃 still a good vid!
