Riding since 2020 .approx 30, 000km till now ...the parts are super strong if u take care properly... i have changed ( discpads, engine oil & filter, air and once front sprocket.)

I bought the 42 variant released lately around 6 months(2024 version) back and completed the second service and these are my reviews after 7k kms

Pros.
1. People do give a look.
I never noticed before children popping their heads and saying hai.. yeah it happened a few times. There were no such happy moments like that before.
2. Engine is better compared to before. No more knocking and such issues. Also the temperature is also good, the cooling system is no longer annoying.
3. People like the bike.
My girlfriend like it more than I do, that's the case with most of the people around.
4. Service has improved.
They don't have as many issues as I expected.
5. Good riding experience.
I used to ride the first version of the bike, I still get the same feeling.

Cons
1. The suspension is no longer apt for the setup
This used to feel very good on the previous bikes but that's not the case now
Rear no longer has a progressive shock and the setup is too stiff. This makes the ride too harsh even on highway conditions.
If you try to reduce the preload then the damping is too low and you start to struggle.
Initially I thought it would be okay but after these many months it still feels so bad.
I hope I can somehow fix it by upgrading to an aftermarket shock which I'm not sure is available.

This makes the ride uncomfortable because indian roads has a different terrain after every km so you cannot set it to a certain preload or a setup with linear springs. 42 used to be a bike that could be taken anywhere but now that's not the case.

I think this could be the reason I'm not seeing any new 42 on the road

2. Bad chasis / suspension update
They have improved the ground clearance but it has taken away the low rider feel.
It's kind of a different bike now and has moved away from its legendary class. This worsened the riding stance and comfort.

I hope jawa would bring some modes that could fix these problems.
Because shock setup requires a different setup for each individual and their requirements and previous bikes were better in that regard.

The jawa 42 2.1 is a really cool and comfortable bike to ride. I have all star black. I love the matte finish.It feels great on the road and the seat is super comfy.

I am an owner of Jawa Forty Two BS6 and I must say this. No doubt Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles are good looking but they need a lot of improvements on the technical side, quality and fit and finish of the motorcycles. Even the quality of service offered is poor here in Assam except for one or two showrooms. And please make improvements on the availability of spare parts and original accessories on the showrooms. All we people want is reliability and trust. Hope you work on it and please bring exchange offers on old Jawa motorcycles.
