Dude has 100% never seen or touched a horse before. The videos of ppl riding their horses in the water are for fun, the ones where they’re leading them is to help them recover and exercise during an injury or help joints. This has nothing to do with training what do ever

They do not take them into the water like in the first video bc horses are very bad at swimming and it is very difficult and stressful. In the other clips that are ok for training purposes, the first is a no. Unless you are a trained professional and understand tour horse, please do not try this at home.

NEVER ride a horse in the water. I’m not writing a entire paragraph explaining why but there’s videos you can watch about it. It’s very dangerous for both you and the horse. Horses are okay on their own but with someone on them it gets dangerous

A group of people from our barn once went to a lake and went swimming with the horses. It was perfectly safe as long as you let the horses have their heads once they hit deep water. But beware, they can be really slippery lol. Also always be aware of where their hoofs are when leading them into the water and watch your feet once you are in the water. I accidentally got hit on my heel (bare feet) by another horse's hoof and I had a nasty bruise there. But, if you're in shallower water, they will just sink and push off the bottom with their back legs, kind of like doing bobs. Other than that, it is so much fun to do, but you should always be with another person in case something goes wrong.
