I have a couple of them living in the field behind my house, they make a lot of noise in the night. Usually in the warmer period of the year (april-sept). They (or their offspring) always seem to come back to a group of hollow trees there. Little lords of the night I guess ;).

There's a pair that nest in my next door neighbor's chimney each year, and for some reason they like to perch on a rail just beside my front door and meow. I'm continually opening the door to (I think) let the cat in. They don't fly away but immediatly begin to scold me for interrupting their concert.

Finally worked out what was making the noise behind my house! I thought it was a dog or fox or something yelping lol
